Terms of Service

Semester is a free personal project, run by one person, for University of Arkansas students. Using it means accepting the terms below.

What you get

Semester reads a class schedule you paste in, a Blackboard assignment feed you connect, the public Razorback schedule, and any campus or Greek chapter calendars you choose to follow. It writes them to up to five Google Calendars it creates in your account, and stores your Google email address, account ID and a refresh token so it can keep them current. It refreshes them daily if you switch auto-sync on.

What it is not

Semester is not authoritative. Your registrar, your instructors, and Blackboard are. Semester can be wrong — a schedule can be pasted incorrectly, a feed can go stale, a game time can move, and campus dates can change after they were entered. Do not rely on it alone for anything that matters, including exams, deadlines, and graduation requirements. Always confirm against the official source.

Your responsibilities

Use your own account and your own schedule.
Keep your Blackboard feed link private — anyone holding it can read your coursework, which is why Semester treats it as a credential.
Do not try to reach other users' data or disrupt the service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Semester.

Availability

There is no uptime guarantee. Semester may be unavailable, may change, and may be discontinued. It depends on Google, Supabase, Cloudflare, Blackboard, and ESPN, any of which can change or break without warning. If it shuts down, the calendars it created remain in your Google account.

Liability

Semester is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, its author is not liable for any loss arising from using it — including a missed class, deadline, or exam.

Ending it

Stop whenever you like: revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Accounts that abuse the service may be removed.
